Brian Timmer

Brian lived in Lawrence for ten years with fellow artist and wife, Betsy Timmer, and they recently relocated to Cody, Wyoming.  Brian received his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from Western Michigan University in 2003.  Currently, Brian works as freelance artist, non-profit community leader for Prodigal Collective and is the father of two young boys.  As a painter, Brian gravitates toward an abstract expressionistic style while many of his recent commissions have challenged him to paint natural and representational subjects.  The combination of spontaneous brush strokes and natural elements reflect a controlled chaos where mess and beauty collide.
