Cindy Powers

Cindy Powers (aka Cinderelish) is a Kansas City, Missouri artist who has been working in clay for over 20 years. She began as a wheel-thrower and has sold several lines of functional work in shops, galleries and online. 

When she began experimenting with figurative sculpture, she fell in love. She has been making unique sculpted heads ever since. She recently returned to the pottery wheel and has been inspired to incorporate faces into her functional work through painterly and sculptural techniques.

Cinderelish pieces are created from porcelain or brown clay and fired to Cone 5-6 in an electric kiln. Cindy has taught pottery classes at Red Star Studios, 323Clay and her home studio where she enjoys a beautiful backyard garden view.
